50 Nina Street - CASA LOMA
This house is going to be someone's thing but it isn't my thing.
The listing says that this house is 'tastefully renovated with charm intact' but it fails to mention that the renos were done 25 years ago!
It's hard to deny that this house from the outside is very charming both the front, back, and even the side...
But I am not a fan of the inside. From the front hall and kitchen floor tile to the stenciling on the hardwood (wtf?), the paint colours...and what is up with that master bedroom Trompe-l'œil? I think these people fancy themselves as romantics!
Too bad they didn't add this to one of the walls...
This house, which is located across the street a house I posted in December, has a LOT of potential but it needs a lot of money and work.
And considering that this house around the corner at 70 Hilton just sold for $1,605,000 and it was done top to bottom (albeit without a proper dining room), I am not sure these people will get their price.
$1,495,000.
It's not a full gutter (well...) but it's also not done to the taste of the current millennium. They might lose a lot of buyers because of that.
But if you love the look, I think the price is right.
This will sell at asking. Someone out there is going to love this!
PS. that looks like the most uncomfortable dining room table I have ever seen.
