Hi.

Welcome to the MASH where we gossip about current real estate listings.

Enjoy!

And it went for....*

And it went for....*

Remember this 4+1 bedrooms, 6 bathroom church conversion that was designed by Mazen el-Abdallah of Mazen Studio and the architect was Anthony Fieldman of Raft Arhitects*?

I first posted this house at 314 Palmerston Boulevard last October when the asking price was $4,450,000.

It may be beautiful (if this is your style), but $4.5 million in this neighbourhood?  If it as in the Annex or Yorkville, sure.  But not at College and Bathurst.  Not right now.

It didn't sell and the price was finally dropped in May to $3,750,000.

I thought it was still a bit pricey but if that Michael Anastassiades tube light in the front hall came with the place...

Then who knows.

Well, this place finally sold...

For $3,400,000.

Just $1,000,000 shy of the original asking price.

But really, still a very good price.

They must have thrown in that light.

And perhaps those Hans Wegner chairs as well...

NOTE: An earlier version of this post stated, as per the 2010 article about this conversion in the Globe and Mail, that this property was designed by Fenwick Bonell of Powell & Bonell with a clear imprint of Joe Brennan's style (that part was me).  We were contacted by the owner and developer of this property, Matthew Kosoy, who corrected us in saying that the property was in fact designed by Mazen el-Abdallah of Mazen Studio and the architect was Anthony Fieldman of Raft Arhitects.  Joe Brennan was only part of the restoration of the outside of the building.
