176 Bedford Road - ANNEX
This place is definitely NOT going to be for everyone.
But it is interesting.
It was designed by the late Gordon Ridgely. As this house is the first picture on his website, I wonder if this was his home, though according to Toronto Life, he lived at 2 Hedgewood Road.
You can see a similar style in both houses and I really like it.
This house is currently a live/work artist's studio, and for that purpose, it is amazing. It is 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 parking spots.
There is a small yard through that incredible steel door and there is potential for a huge roof top garden.
I think this would need to be updated a bit (I don't love that second bath), but not a lot. There is something about it that reminds me of the house at Bishop Street.
Even though it is set up as an artist's studio, I could see this becoming a big time actor's pied-a-terre, kind of like Mark Wahlberg and his $12 million condo at 36 Hazelton Avenue.
But unless you are Mark Wahlberg, this might be priced a little too high for a 'pied-a-terre'.
Or even a condo alternative.
The asking price for this house is $5,950,000!!!
