Remember that semi that was a recently renovated duplex on a street of mostly garages at 65 London Street in Seaton Village?
The one that was owner occupied with a weird door in the dining room?
It was a 3+2 bedroom, 2 bathroom semi on a 16.33 x 109 foot lot that was listed in September for $1,149,000. I thought it would sell fast and over ask.
It sold a little over a week later for $#,###,###.
Well, looks like it was bought as a full income property because both units are now for rent for move in of mid-November!
The lower unit is 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and access to the yard. It is listed at $2,500. The upper unit with the fancy kitchen and weird dining room door is also 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and it is listed at $2,750!
That works out to $63,000 a year!
I could be wrong on my calculations, but even if you only put 20% down, that more than covers your mortgage costs.
Not bad!
