PRICE INCREASE - 63 Douglas Crescent - GOVERNOR'S BRIDGE
In April, I posted this 4+2 bedroom, 5 bathroom new build on a 34.25 x 129.75 ravine lot.
If this is your thing, it is a big and bright house with lots of bedrooms.
Only thing is...that garage!!!!
Does that look like it is taller than the door? Does it look like it could fit an SUV!?!
And then there was the price.
This house was first listed at $3,450,000, which as I pointed out was a LOT especially considering what you can get in the surrounding neighbourhoods of Moore Park, Leaside, or Rosedale for the same price.
It never sold and the price was dropped in June to $2,999,999.
I was so curious about that garage that I had to do a drive by and, yes, it looked as short as it does in the pictures.
But this house has been relisted and I guess I stand corrected. That garage DOES fit an SUV as you can see from this photo that they have added to the listing...
That is a regular old 2006 Honda Pilot.
So....it fits an SUV (though it looks like it's kind of hard to get out of the car if there is another one in there!).
And I guess that is why they think it can sell for its new price of...
$3,250,000.
When you consider that the 'Wrecking Ball' house 61 Astley Avenue close by in Rosedale sold for $2,225,000....
Is this selling for $1 million more!?!
Sure, that house didn't have a lawn, but really!?!
