536 Christie Street - WYCHWOOD
This house has been listed for a while.
In fact, a reader sent it in at the beginning of December.
It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom detached house on a 28.85 x 82.20 foot lot with one parking spot in Wychwood.
Speaking of Wychwood, it feels like forever since I posted a house from this neighbourhood!
Back to the house...
I don't love it but it's a good looking house. I am not exactly sure how they park in that spot with the hydrant there, and it is too bad they have that green thing that is hidden behind that board on their lawn as well. But a detached 3 bedroom with parking in Wychwood is pretty great.
Inside, it is pretty flippy.
It's the colour of the floors and walls. And though a lot of people won't like the open concept, I like it here. The kitchen is good. I don't love the dishwasher being opposite the fridge, but otherwise, it makes sense.
The bedrooms are a good size, the upstairs bathroom is a little squishy but the basement bathroom makes sense. I can't imagine that there is much 'living' space in the basement as it seems to all be the back storage/laundry room. And though it would have made sense to finish that room with a proper floor and drywall, at least it looks like perhaps there is a mudroom down there.
So, basically, this is a good house in Wychwood.
But $1,095,000!?!
There was no way.
Then again, I didn't think there was anyway 72 Tyrrel Avenue could sell for $1,149,000!!!
But that house was 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
And it wasn't located on Christie.
So, this house never sold and the price has been dropped...
To $995,000.
Though this is a hot neighbourhood and there isn't a lot on the market (for now), this is still going to be hard.
Between the half basement, the tiny second floor washroom, the odd parking situation, and the location on a busy street...
This is still a little high.
