25 Maclennan Road - ROSEDALE (UPDATE)*

This is NOT what I was expecting from the outside.

Now that I see the interior, the exterior kind of makes sense. Except for that brick. Who did that!?!

But the inside!!!

It's great (if you like white). All white on the outside and all white on the inside, but I love it (especially those floors!).

Actually, there is something about the interior that reminds me of the house at 111 Glen Road and what I envisioned what the furniture could look like in that house.

Clearly, with all the white in this house, and the fact that the house is basically all about the whole second floor master suite, there are no little kids living here. And though the listing says there are 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the 2 bedrooms on the third floor don't have doors, and the washroom entrance is in one of the 'rooms'.

As this house isn't really functional for families, I am not sure who the buyer is going to be for this place. Any couple looking for a house like this is most likely going to look in the Annex before North Rosedale.

But this is a beautiful house on a 40 x 100 foot lot that shows amazingly well with a garage and parking for 2 cars.

It's listed at $2,795,000.

I don't think this will sell for ask, even though it is clear that a LOT of money was put into renovating this place.

It's just that it is only 3 bedrooms, all that furniture is going, and there are some pretty great places in the Annex for less money.

I'm thinking maybe $2,450,000.

P.S. Nitpicking here, but why is the fridge facing the front door instead of opening to the opposite counter?

The design firm run by Lloyd and Christine Ralphs, both former v.p. of design at Club Monaco...

And the design firm behind the house at 2 Castle Frank Road that sold for $6,600,000.
