17 Hillhurst Boulevard - LYTTON PARK

After I saw this picture of the basement of this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 50 x 135 foot lot...

I was convinced it was another hockey player's house like the house at 19 Awesome Again Lane in Aurora (still can't figure out who owned that place but still love that street name!)...

Or Doug Gilmour's house at 194 Parkview Hills Crescent in Parkview...

But it's not. After a quick reverse lookup...

I realized that this is the home of the owner of Sherwood Homes, the company that built this house.

As far as new builds go, this one is pretty good. I love the floors. The living room isn't exactly big, but with that family room, do you really need a big living room? The second floor layout is great with the kids bedrooms separated by the doors.

And there is that basement.

But what is the story with the third floor? Are those windows just for show?

This is a 2 year old house that looks barely lived in, minus a few photos and those puck marks in the basement.

It is listed at $4,199,000.

Though I feel that is a bit high and this feels more like a $3.7 house to me, considering that the house at 124 Glencairn Avenue that was on a slightly bigger lot apparently just sold for $4.4 million after being relisted after 2 years off the market...

This price doesn't seem crazy at all.

It's just that the location isn't as good. But if you have kids that are into hockey, this place is worth it for the hockey room alone.
