421 Sackville Street - CABBAGETOWN
This is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on an 18 x 85 foot lot in Cabbagetown.
It's a beautiful victorian that has many old features, but it is still modern. They kept the old fireplaces which I love, the floor colour is great, the kitchen has a table but could be set up as a family room with stools at the counter instead.
Currently, it is really set up as 2 bedrooms, an office, and a family room, but it could be a 4 bedroom house.
The family room is great and baseically, I like all the furniture throughout the house.
I'm just a little confused about that bathroom layout. Why is there so much wasted hallway space? It looks as though the bathroom is new so why not knock the 'dressing room' out, move the bathroom door, and then add a second door to the dressing room...
Or something like that.
As it is now, it feels weird.
And the third floor has what could be 2 bedrooms, if that bathroom/shower had 2 doors.
Basically, this is a great house right now for young couple without kids, but it could be changed to accomodate a family.
It's listed at $1,199,000.
It's beautiful and it's large.
If the smaller house across the street at 430 Sackville Street could sell for $1,289,000 in January...
I don't see why this couldn't sell for the same price or more.
Perhaps somewhere closer to $1,320,000....maybe even $1,345,000 if that bathroom layout isn't an issue.
Or the lane...
