19 Methuen Avenue - LAMBTON BABY POINT
This is a 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on a 25 x 100 foot lot at 19 Methuen Avenue in the Lambton Baby Point neighbourhood.
It is clearly a new build from the outside and this is what it used to look like...
On the inside, it's also new build-y, but it is like they are trying really hard to make it not look like your typical new build.
They have created a kitchen, apparently inspired by Joseph Dirand, that is different than most with these handles...
And this ladder to the really high upper cabinets...
But the layout of the room at the front is weird because that is the front door...
Right in front of the dining room table. And to me, it looks like a door to the backyard.
I think I would ditch that table and make the table in the kitchen the main dining room table.
Or get rid of the industrial shelving unit in the kitchen and put the table there with a family room area where the banquette is.
That dining room table situation just doesn't make sense.
Upstairs, the rooms seem to be a good size and the third floor master suite is bright with a large washroom.
But if you are not into industrial, you might not be into this bathroom vanity...
Actually, if you aren't into new build industrial, you might not be into this house at all.
Other than the front door and the dining room layout, and the fact that the fridge door opens the wrong way, and I'm not loving the microwave on the wall box...
This is a pretty good house.
My favourite thing about this whole house is this Stilnova light...
This house is listed at $1,988,575.
I wish I could see the backyard. And the basement which apparently has a walk out..
It's obviously not a big yard though with a lot depth of only 100 feet.
But I don't think the price isn't super crazy. This neighbourhood has seen a recent increase in prices and this house is move in ready.
I'm not sure it will sell right at list, but I don't think it will sit for long.
That flat roof above the front door looks like it might cause some problems though...
