SOLD - 46 Castlefield Avenue - LYTTON PARK
This is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on a 22.5 x 134.37 foot lot with 2 parking spaces at 46 Castlefield Avenue.
I had planned to post it on the 24th instead of Chewbacca...
But then I spilled a glass of wine on my computer (for a split second I couldn't decide if I was more upset about the computer or the wine) and my posting options were limited, so I am posting it now...
This house was listed for a long time.
Despite being mentioned in the Toronto Life Housing report and as
blogTO's House of the Week in August...
I only noticed it last week.
And the reason I was going to post it on the 24th was because the second I saw the kitchen...
I thought of the Rita Coolidge and Kris Kristofferson's performance...
From the 1978 Johnny Cash Christmas Special...
Where Steve Martin kind of stole the show...
Personally, I was more of a Donny and Marie Christmas Special...
Or a Sonny and Cher Christmas Special kind of person over the Johnny Cash specials...
But I was reminded of this one after seeing Kris Kristofferson steal the show (could be debated) on the
Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert that aired on December 19.
And when I saw the photos for this house, I thought that this Johnny Cash special was the colour inspiration for not only the kitchen....
But the rest of the house as well.
For example...

And Johnny on the special...
Which may be part of the reason why this house was on the market for so long.
When this house was mentioned in Toronto Life and blogTo in the summer...
The asking price was $1,795.000.
In September, the price was dropped to $1,749,000 and then to $1,595,000 in November.
It sold on December 22...
For $1,530,000.
And in case I spill another glass of wine on my computer...
