AND IT WENT FOR - 399 Pine Avenue - OAKVILLE
In August, I posted this 4+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on a 50 x 140.50 foot lot at 399 Pine Avenue in Oakville.
It was a charming house on the outside, and a very done house on the inside.
To me, it seemed like the inspiration for the interior was this guy...
And I loved it.
A lot of people didn't agree. Sure, the kitchen was a little over the top with the lights, but it is still a great kitchen if you aren't into those chandeliers.
It was listed at $1,379,000 which I thought might be a little high considering that it backed onto this street...
Apparently, a week later, the price was dropped to $1,329,000. I posted the drop at the end of September.
Last week, I mentioned the house again in the post for the sale of the townhouse at 354A Harbord Street...
Because the decor for that townhouse was done by Christine Dovey, the owner of this house.
I mentioned that this house was still for sale.
Turns out, after 156 days on the market, it had sold just 5 days earlier.
This house finally sold for...
$1,225,000.
