171 Indian Road - RONCESVALLES
This house.
It's the house at 171 Indian Road that I posted in December 2013 when it looked like this...
With a fridge that looked like this...
The house that I was kind of obsessed with because there was so much potential.
It has since been flipped and I love what they did with the outside.
But the inside, I'm not so sure.
A lot of the character of the house is now gone. The front hall fireplace is no longer there, all the walls were taken down which means that pocket door from the dining room to the living room is gone.
And to me, there isn't a lot different about this house than the house at 371 Parkside Drive...
Perhaps if there was better non-staging furniture, I would be more into it.
But as it is, it just feels like a flip.
When I posted it in 2013, it was listed at $1,149,000. It sold in March 2014 for $1,243,000.
It has been totally renovated but they removed the garage instead of fixing it...
And according to a reader who sent in the listing 2 weeks ago when this house was listed as a private sale...
Apparently they didn't dig down at all, so it's barely more than 6' tall.
And now the asking price is...
$3,400,000.
