39 Howland Avenue - ANNEX
This is a 3+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on a 31 x 127 foot lot at 39 Howland Avenue in the Annex.
And when
I posted it in February 2013, I mentioned that I REALLY liked it. Like....I have kind of been obsessed with it every since.
At the time, it was a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that needed work...
And it had a huge ivy branch at the front that gave me the serious creeps...
(It's like a vein on a hand or something)
But the house was amazing. I thought there could be an addition at the back but that the back stairs would probably need to go, even though I love houses with back stairs, and that the feel of the house would be great if it stayed formal but was updated for a family.
It was listed at $1,895,000. I thought it would sell around $1,950,000.
It didn't sell and
the price was dropped a month later to $1,795,000.
It
sold 2 days later for $1,775,000.
It's now back on the market. And though it isn't what I would have done, it is quite a renovation.
I don't get why there are only 3 bathrooms in a house this size, but I get the feeling there are no kids living here so it doesn't really matter.
The asking price is now $4,995,000.
