This is a 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with a detached garage on a 20 x 96 foot lot at 48 Foxley Street in Beaconsfield Village in Toronto.

It is a new build (or rebuild?) on a lot that used to look like this...

And it is located across the street from the 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with a detached garage on a 20 x 132 foot lot at 38 Foxley Street in Beaconsfield Village that was for sale for $2,695,000 in February...

And apparently sold for almost $200,000 over ask only days later.

Of the two houses, this one is by far my favourite.  I like all the finishes.  I like the floors, the tile, the kitchen cabinets, the layout, and the look of the front of the house

And even if you aren't into the look of the front, you have to agree that this is a really good house.

But why has it been on the market for 2 weeks?

This house is listed a little less than the house across the street at...

$2,685,000.

Sure, the lot size is smaller but the house is so much better.

I don't get it.
