24 Wimbleton Road - ETOBICOKE
Located in the Edenbridge-Humber Valley neighbourhood, this home is found in one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in Etobicoke, just west of Toronto and only a short drive to the Kingsway shops and restaurants in Bloor West Village.
It looks to be a new build or reno and they did a nice job. It has 5 +1 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and a wide though not super deep lot at 60 ft x 124 ft.
I really like its curb appeal though I am not crazy about the front office once you step into the house especially when there is a huge office downstairs. Perhaps they could make that more of a cozy office/den, maybe remove some of that tile...(the bathroom tile is all a bit much too). And I am not crazy about the open staircase in the front hall. This home has large enough windows in the back that it doesn't need the light. As a matter of fact, I would actually prefer the privacy into the family room. I love the living room with the built in bar and that is quite a nice fireplace.
Perhaps it is the pictures but this house seems to go on forever. There is another family room in the basement and yet another one on the second floor above the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, I am not crazy about that island. Too many corners. But I do like how there is a bit of privacy to the kitchen but it is still open. The kitchen doesn't make the house, the house makes the house.
The backyard isn't huge for this neighbourhood but it is still a good sized lot. There is enough room for a pool if you choose. And if you play golf, this is the neighboorhood for you with one course just to the north and another to the west.
I would definitely want to make a few changes but this house has it all! Curb appeal, location (if you like Etobicoke), 5 + 1 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms....the list goes on!!!
Oh wait! I forgot the price....
$1,695,000.
Yup.
The last house I posted is smaller and listed at $3,550,000 (granted it is downtown but not everyone loves that) and totally overpriced I might add!
That is almost a $2 Million dollar difference! You could buy 2 of this house for that price!!!
This place is still a lot of money....but you get a LOT for that money downtown or not.
