187 Cottingham Street - RATHNELLY

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home located in the Rathnelly neighbourhood and sandwiched between Summerhill, South Hill, the Annex and Yorkville, is a beautifull example of Old Toronto.  It's too bad the new builds couldn't be built like this.

I think you either love or hate this neighbourhood, and those windows.  I love both.

This is a nice sized house on a 25.75 x 130 foot lot but it could use some updating.  It could be a move right in, but if you have the extra money on top of the $1,849,000 listing price to get rid of the 80s, this place could be amazing!!

The first floor seems small but that could be from the hallway taking up a third of the space.  I would probably open up the first floor. The open second floor to the first floor is interesting.  If that stayed, it would look good if it was redone like these Superkul designs I have posted before...

And I think I would get rid of the paint on the brick.  Imagine that house with the original brick like the house to the left.  It would look so great with those windows.  Those fireplaces might need some work too...

And are those glass bricks in the front entry below?  Or is it a plastic mat?  That could probably have been taken out of the photos I think because it looks like glass bricks.
