Though the listing might say it is 'maintenance free', that zen garden in front of this 3+2 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in Riverdale is most definitely NOT maintenance free.

That tree in the front yard is going to drop keys on the ground that will penetrate that rock and the owners will have to pull them up one by one.

Or they can just replace it with grass.

But the rest of the house is impressive.  I actually really like the exposed brick in this house.  And I like the exposed joists in the ceiling.  Would that make the sound travel more easily up to the second floor though?

The stairs aren't exactly child friendly...

But I really like the IKEA kitchen.

The price is $889,000.

Given that a house down the street that didn't have a finished 3rd floor sold for $755,000 a month ago, I would say this is a good price.   Maybe $30,000 too high but this house is a lot better.

Too bad they messed with that front yard.

I need to correct that this is not an IKEA kitchen...

and the 'zen' garden clearly doesn't work.
