15 Venton Court - TYRONE
Ever since that house at 445 Delaware in Dovercourt Park got 9 offers over their asking price of $450,000, declined them all and re-listed at $730,000, I have been a little disheartened, actually embittered, with the money hungry sellers.
It made me reminisce about my Easter weekend drive through a small town called Tyrone just outside of Toronto. It is quaint, has an amazing store in the old Tyrone Mills with AMAZING smelling food. It smelled like bacon wrapped donuts with a side of cherry pie and I am not kidding.
It really exists...
And it is almost enough to make me move to the country.
But, I am not a country person and couldn't really imagine myself there until I came across this house. They would have to sell it to me with all the furniture though (minus the leather couches but the IKEA stuff can stay) otherwise it is just another country house.
Whoever lives here has put a lot of effort into finding the furniture.
And the price is LESS than than those greedy buggers want on Delaware (who probably would have got the price that they wanted in the first place if they hadn't so blatantly begged for a bidding war, now the place won't sell).
Back to Tyrone...
The price of this house is $689,900.
For 4+2 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 1 acre of land.
I wonder where these people are taking all that furniture...
Do you think the value of this place will go up or down once the 407 is extended? Even though it will probably be built really close to the house, I bet it goes up.
And is the 407 going to run through the Tyrone Mill? That would be a travesty.
I think it might be my new food obsession.
