Is that crazy or just right for this place?
It is a 3 year old new build that has stayed pretty true to the neighbourhood.
Plus it is a good size.
Instead of the piano right at the front, there could be a full living room there. The dining room carpet is too large and kind of takes over that space but that could be moved to the living (except it isn't coming with the house).
The kitchen/family room is large but that island seems out of proportion. It should have been a little larger and the wood sort of looks cheap. Maybe that is just the photos because the fireplace surround and built in desk on the second floor do not look cheap.
I am confused why they didn't put the tv above the fireplace in the mirror section. They mounted the tv on the mirror in the gym. If it was on the other wall, the furniture could actually face the fireplace, you could see the tv from the banquet (I am not really a fan of banquets but this one is not built-in) and you could still have the photo wall above the couch.
The bedrooms are all quite dark except for that blue one and I am not sure how I feel about the black doors against the white trim against a dark gray wall. I like black doors when the room is all white though like how it is in the kitchen.
Other than the backyard being a little small, this house has it all (that kitchen island is probably better in real life, right?), size, location, parking, high ceilings, a weirdly large amount of washrooms...
Too bad it is a semi.
But if it wasn't, it would be priced at $2,850,000.
I don't know if it will go for asking but I can't imagine it staying on the market for long.
Actually, I just read that first sentence again. This house is going for $2,465,000.
