170 Colbeck Street - BLOOR WEST VILLAGE
Am I crazy to think this 3 bedroom house is a really good deal at $739,000?
It is probably full of knob and tube and could use some freshening up, new bathrooms and a new kitchen possibly knocked out into that porch area in the back (though the listing says it is new with granite counters).
Problem is it is located beside a laneway, it doesn't seem to have any parking and I can't pin down the lot dimensions so I am thinking there is no backyard. But if there is....
This house could be amazing! And the location is great.
UPDATE: #1) thanks to the readers who commented below confirming the knob and tube and the fact that there is no yard. It is on a 29.75 x 57 lot. No backyard. And if the structural issue is true, this will really be a tough sell! But it is still in a great location if Bloor West is where you want to be! Even if you can only fit a table or a few chairs in the back, it might be worth it at mid $6s.
#2) I forgot to mention in my post earlier that this house kind of reminds me of this house in Montreal, just with white paint instead of scary wallpaper. Clearly it is a gutter but built-ins and stuff could stay, just not necessarily all the walls. And I need to see that washroom. Send in pics if you have them!
