the MASH

58 Coady Avenue - LESLIEVILLE

This is a really nice house from the front but there is a lot going on inside that is odd.

First thing I noticed was the intake vent in the middle basically at the bottom of the stairs and the walkway to the back of the house.  That is weird and unfortunate.  They will never be able to put down a faux stone runner with that thing in the way.

The front hall and kitchen tile is old.  It looks like it has been there for 30 years.

And there is just way too much exposed brick.  The fireplace brick is okay but I would prefer it covered, especially with that mantle.  But the brick on the other wall is just way to much for me.  It goes all the way up the stairs into the master.  That would make me crazy.

The kitchen is okay but that island is way to small.

And look!

Red KitchenAid mixer!!

The family room is a tight squeeze but it works.

Once upstairs, you notice that the bannister has definitely seen better days.  And the floor is rough.  Sub floor can look okay sometimes but this is REALLY sub floor with huge cracks between the boards.

I would prefer the bed in the master to be against the wall and the chairs where the bed is.  And I don't see closets anywhere.

Now for the best part of the house...the basement.  It looks like they recently fixed it up and it is literally the best part of the house.  New floors, new bathroom, fancy laundry room...

There is a lot of work to be done on this house and the backyard is tiny.  That is probably why they priced it at $599,000.

With all the work this place needs and the tiny yard, I can't see this place selling for much more over asking.
