25 Thompson Avenue - SUNNYLEA
I am not sure if the location of this house is considered Kingsway or Sunnylea (or is it Thompson Orchard?) so I am going with Sunnylea.
I do know that it is just steps to Bloor West (and by reader request, thanks Susan, I am posting about the west end today!).
If you are okay with being that close to a busy street, this is a great house. It is currently a 3+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on a 41 x 70 foot lot. Weird, it seems deeper than that.
The kitchen is small and galley like but despite the lot depth, there is room for an extension if you want a bigger kitchen, family room and perhaps another bedroom upstairs.
All the bathrooms are new and the basement has high ceilings with a fireplace and mudroom storage.
I don't think I could handle all the unpainted wood on the first floor and second floor hallway but it works if that is your style.
This is a really nice neighbourhood and if you are okay with your kids not playing on the street, this is a really good option.
Plus, the price is right for a move right in house with new wiring, new-ish roof and eaves, new bathrooms and updated kitchen and only steps to the subway.
It is listed at $1,189,000. Too bad it wasn't just a few more houses away from Bloor.
PS. looks like putting knockers on the back of chairs is a thing. Guess it saves the upholstery from getting dirty.
