10 Hawthorn Avenue - ROSEDALE

The only thing I would change in this house besides the curtains and some paint is the floor colour.

It is way to orange for me and I don't really like how it looks with the kitchen and the family room built-ins.  At least not in the pictures.

I would be more inclined to leave the wood more natural.  Something like the pictures below...

I think it would look amazing with that kitchen and all those fireplaces!  And I think it would work better with the front hall floor as well (though I am not sure I love that).

This is a really beautiful old home that was built in 1887.  It is 5+1 bedrooms,8 bathrooms, sits on a 60 x 150 foot lot and it has a 3 car garage.

It is one street over from the house that I posted the other day at 46 Nanton that sits on a 50 x 150 foot lot and is listed at $3,250,000.  (I feel like that house could go over but one reader who had some good points thinks it is almost $1,000,000 overpriced!)

It is also around the corner from the house at 2 Castle Frank that sits on a 74 x 194 foot lot that recently sold for $6,600,000!!!  It was probably one of my favourite houses so far.

I think this could be one of my favourite houses too but with the lighter floor.

This house is listed at $5,398,000.

Wait, what!?!  We are getting into Forest Hill prices here!  What is going on!?!

I do not think this house is a $5.4 house.  It is beautiful.  The taxes may be $26,783.70/year, it might have amazing details and a lot of room but that is just crazy.

It was listed in April 2010 for $4,850,000 and the price was dropped to $3,995,000 in June 2010.  I could be wrong, but I don't think they did any renos to this place since then!  Maybe the kitchen but I don't think so.

The reader who commented on Nanton might have good points for why that house is overpriced but I think THIS is the house that is $1,000,000 overpriced!!!

PS. to the person taking the pictures...you might want to put the First Response boxes under the sink next time.  Oh, and that sheet on the third floor...
