337 Cleveland Street - DAVISVILLE VILLAGE (UPDATE)

I don't know if this house called 'The Offset House' has been featured in Dwell but it needs to be.

It was designed by Ja Architecture Studio and Arta Design and Build and has recently been featured on other websites such as The Contemporist and Design Boom.

There are also plenty of photos below that are ripe pickings for the Unhappy Hipsters too.

This is a 3+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on a 20 x 150 foot lot just south of Eglinton and west of Bayview.

It stands out like a sore thumb in this neighbourhood but I definitely prefer the look of this house to the Stormtrooper house around the corner at 657 Soudan Avenue.  It was listed at $1,769,000.

And even if you don't like the look of this house (which I do), you have to admit is better than what it used to look like...

When it was listed in December 2010 for $599,000

It is now listed at $1,625,000.

This kitchen has wood and tile mixed together and interestingly enough, I really like it!

And I love the windows but this picture is freaking me out.  This is why everyone needs window treatments...

If this is your style, then you can't go wrong with this house.

But for the price, in this neighbourhood, I don't think that will be enough of a draw for buyers.

It is only 3 bedrooms and it isn't big.

In this neighbourhood, I see this as more of a $1,425,000 house...maybe $1,455,000.

It is pretty great though!  And if you are into Whole Foods, there is one going up around the corner!

(UPDATE: I have been thinking about this house....there is no way this can sell for $1,425,000.  It is just too small.  Once you get a couch in there, a few chairs, a coffee table, a dining table, this is a SMALL house.  I am going with $1,325,000 now, even though I still think that is high.  But if they find someone who wants a contemporary house in Davisville Village...who knows.)
