339 Rumsey Road - NORTH LEASIDE
This is a 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house designed by Jaegap Chung of JCI Architects. I don't love the look of the front but that seems to be his style. But I do like the inside.
There is a lot of dusting to be done in this house and I am not crazy about how the front door opens right into the house.
What is that front part supposed to be? Is that the living room? Or is it a front entrance space with a fireplace? It doesn't make sense. If it was the living room, that means you have to walk through the living room to get to the rest of the house.
Other than that, I think this place is great.
I love the marble in the kitchen!! And I love the walnut.
On the Architect's website, they have a table in the kitchen area...
But I like it better with just the couches. Not those couches though. This staging furniture is pretty awful.
I am not sure I am loving those curtains either. It reminds me of an airport lounge or a stuffy members only club or something.
I wish there was a floor plan because this house doesn't seem huge but has 4 bedrooms and they all seem to have their own bathroom.
The basement has a wall of cupboards which is great for a family.
And the backyard is a good size, not huge but good.
The listing price is $1,988,800.
This house has a pretty small first floor and a very open concept front door. The garage takes up a lot of room but I don't think anyone would buy a house in this neighbourhood without a garage.
Even though this neighbourhood is really picking up, I think the price is too high.
I think something closer to $1,788,800 makes more sense.....but.....if they find the buyer who wants this style in this location....they might get a little closer to asking! But I don't think they will get asking. The first floor is just not big enough for a $2 million price tag, no matter how nice the finishes...
Plus, there needs to be a Swiffer budget built in there somehow!!!
