SOLD - 55 Gothic Avenue - HIGH PARK

Last week, I posted a few links to a few Toronto based renovation blogs.  One of those blogs was The Bennett House written by Keira.  She and her family bought an old house and have been gutting the place over the last year.

Turns out, the house that she has been living while doing the renovations was recently for sale.  A reader (thanks J!) actually sent it in at the end of September but by the time I went to post it, it was gone.

And this is the house!

Doesn't it kind of remind you of the house at 113 Gothic Avenue that was listed at $549,900 last April and sold for $708,888?

This house is bigger than the house at 113 Gothic even though they both are 4 bedrooms but this house has 3 bathrooms and parking for 3 versus 2.  And it doesn't have condo fees.

I really like this house.  I am not sure I could handle some of the paint choices but that is an easy change.  That purple carpet would look really good with white walls.  (If you are wondering what Keira plans on doing in her new house, it is going to be all white.)

That is a really good sized dining room and I love that table!

The kitchen is large.  I would really be into it if the yellow part was painted the same as the rest of the wall and there was a blackboard wall instead of the wallpaper wall.  And look at that window!!  They have a FULL view of the backyard!

Everything is great about this place.  It is a good size, it is done, it doesn't have a yard but some people might prefer a deck.  It's just too bad about the apartment buildings in the back.

As I mentioned, this house sold fast.  And it sold way over ask.

It was listed at $699,900.  It sold for $865,500.  Not bad!

Can't wait to see the big reveal of the new house!!!
