SOLD - 25 Governor's Road - GOVERNOR'S BRIDGE
This is a 3+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom home in a little neighbourhood north east of Rosedale. It isn't Leaside and it isn't Rosedale but the house is kind of a cross of both (except there is no beige).
It's a solid house. The ivy gives me the creeps but it looks better with it than without...
The first floor is a good size and it has a nice flow. It was last listed in 2008 for $1,029,000 so it looks like it has probably been recently renovated.
I don't love the wrought iron cabinet doors in the kitchen but they match the windows and there really isn't much else negative to say about the house. The posts aren't the best but I do like how it separates the spaces while still leaving it open. That bookshelf in the family room doesn't stay but that isn't a big deal.
The closet in the master is really organized. It's a LOT better than the closet at 110 Alcorn. Everything is spaced out perfectly and no wire hangers!
The two other bedrooms aren't huge but they are good and so is the bathroom.
The basement has a built in and is big enough for a big couch. The bedroom is huge and I would be happy to just live there! This room is more my style than the rest of the house though the rest is done well too!
The backyard has a bunch of pea gravel which makes me crazy but it looks like they are having a hard time with their grass. Probably because of all the shade from the huge trees.
There is also a shared drive with a garage.
This house was listed in mid-October for $1,599,000.
It just sold for $1,560,000. At first, this seems high but you get a lot of house in a family friendly neighbourhood.
And it is done. You don't have to touch it for a long time.
That alone is worth the extra $61,000!!!
Now, what is going to happen with the tear down around the corner at 14 Douglas Crescent that is listed at $1,549,000? Price drop soon?
