110 Heath Street West - DEER PARK
This is a good looking new build semi between Yonge and Avenue just north of St. Clair.
This is what it used to look like...
That was probably a nice place in its time but looks a little worn down and new semis on this fairly busy street make more sense than this family type home.
Inside this new build, I don't love the entryway of this house. It seems informal from what I was expecting from the front. And the house doesn't seem very wide but the lot is 23 x 170 feet.
Also, I don't understand why they chose that paint colour on the first floor. Is it Smoked Trout Pate?
That must be the name for that paint colour.
Needless to say, I am not a fan.
Regarding the kitchen, I knew it looked familiar but I couldn't place it for a while. Then I realized, it is the same kitchen as the house at 107 Old Forest Hill Road that a reader pointed out looked like a Shram home. And guess what! This house is a Shram home.
I don't know what it is but something about these kitchens, with the dark and white cabinets, reminds me of an old Turtles commercial...
Is it just me?
I don't think I love that look of the kitchen but there are clearly people who do if the builders keep doing it.
Why are bathtubs inside a shower a trend though? Isn't one of the benefits of having a separate bathtub and shower that one person can be having a bath and the other having a shower at the same time? Especially with a bathroom that size! That room is HUGE. Why did they need to stick the bathtub in with the shower!?!
Otherwise, this is a good house. If this is your style, then you are getting a house with high ceilings, a done kitchen, the bathrooms are new, lots of windows for natural light, a garage...
But it is only 3 bedrooms.
Sure it may have 5 bathrooms and a weirdly large 'L' shaped backyard but for $2,595,000?
Then again, I thought $2,050,000 made sense for the semi just south of St. Clair at 18B Farnham Avenue. And that place needed a lot of work compared to this house.
But imagine how amazing that place could be if you put in $545,000 and came to the same price as this place!?!
Obviously, both are slightly overpriced but this place will definitely sell before the Farnham house....but I don't think it will sell for asking.
