571 Jones Avenue - BLAKE-JONES/THE POCKET
Like the house in my last post at 7 Louise Avenue in Humewood that was listed at $299,000, this house is also listed at $299,000.
It was listed a year and a half ago for $468,000.
You can see from the shots from that listing in November 2011 that this house is in a bit of rough shape but this listing doesn't hide that. It states that this house 'needs some work'.
Some work has been done since that listing but is still not great.
Like the house at Louise, this house sits on a small lot. It is 16.25 x 80 feet so it has more of a yard. But it is a semi so there are no options to tear this down.
Depending on how much work actually needs to be done, this could be a good option for a new buyer or as an income property but I think this might be a little rough in real life.
As you can see from the old photos, the ceiling is not great...
And the floors look like they slope a little too much...
Giving the asking price from 2011, they are clearly hoping for an outcome like the one at Louise but I don't think this house will sell that high but it will go over asking.
This one will be interesting to watch.
