83 Cambell Avenue - JUNCTION TRIANGLE

A reader (thanks!) sent in this 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom house on a 15.12 x 97.25 foot lot steps to Bloor in the south end of the Junction Triangle.

It has had a recent reno and it looks like they went with the industrial look.  It is kind of what 193 Grace Street in Bickford Park was trying to be...

There is exposed brick which I am not crazy about but it works in this space.  The kitchen, which is basically the front hall, is IKEA which is fine.  The floors are rustic which suits the industrial look happening here.  And speaking of industrial, where did they get those bannisters!?!

As I have mentioned before, I am not really into tin ceilings.  The only one I have ever seen that I liked was the one at 54 Stanley Terrace.  So, I am not loving the ceilings in the kids' rooms, but again, they suit the theme of the house.

What do you think of the wood ceiling in the master bedroom?  I like it.

The basement isn't huge and though it is currently set up as a playroom, it has a full kitchen and separate entrance so could be rented out.

And there is parking!

This house was listed at $549,000.  Considering the proximity to Bloor and the fact that there is parking...I would have assumed this was going over just as the detached house at 51 Armstrong Avenue went over.  I would have thought this would have sold for about $645,000....maybe $665,000.

But this house went even higher.

Apparently, this house sold last night for $685,000.

Guess the new buyers don't mind the kitchen basically being the front hall.

P.S. This listing also includes a panoramic tour and it isn't your regular, super fast, can't control it tour. It is a REALLY good feature and worth checking out.
