And it went for....

This 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom house at 24 Burton Road on a 52 x 142 foot lot is a good house.

It doesn't need to be torn down at all, but given all the new builds happening in Forest Hill, it will probably end up looking like this house at 34 Vesta Drive....

It was listed at $2,400,000.

There is work that needs to be done but not right away (not sure how long that kitchen will last though).  And there is room for an addition so it is very possible that is what is happening.  

But I was convinced the asking price was too high for what someone moving into this neighbourhood would want to do with the house.

I was convinced it was getting torn down, selling fast, and for list, perhaps a little less.

It sold in 2 1/2 months and at 92% of list. 

This house sold for $2,200,000.

I was wrong about the price so let's hope I am wrong about this being a tear down as well!  It's a good old Toronto home.  Maybe not super fancy for a Forest Hill buyer, but it could be without losing the whole thing.
