When I first saw the listing for this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 30 x 104 foot lot at Eglinton and Bayview...

I thought the price of $1,499,000 seemed kind of low for this location.  The area is the home to the newest Whole Foods after all!

But then I saw the interior photos and THIS...

 YES!!!  That is the front door opening right into the kitchen!!!!  Why!?!?!

There is so much space at the back!!!!!  This should have been a living room with a foyer and perhaps a powder room.  The back should have been a kitchen, a dining room, and there would still have been room for at least 2 chairs or a small couch!

WHY did they do this!?!

It could have been so much better!

So, it looks like the just added a floor and a half on top of the existing house.

WHY did they put the kitchen at the front door!?!  I don't get it.

Looks like there lots of others that feel the same way.

This house was first listed in March at $1,689,000.

It didn't sell and the price was dropped in May to $1,589,000.

Now it's at $1,499,000.

If the kitchen situation is something that doesn't bother you (not sure how it couldn't), this is a good house with lots of space, in a good neighbourhood that is only going to get better, with a potential rental in the basement for a not so outrageous price.

But I think this will still be a tough sell.

Seriously!?!  What were they thinking with that kitchen?
