146 St. Andrew's Road - BENDALE (UPDATE)
In August, when I posted the house at 30 Danzig Street in West Hill...
I meant to post this house (they aren't that close together but they are both in Scarborough).
It is a good looking 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house in an updated farm house called the Springfield Farm House.
According to this sign...
It is 'the oldest brick dwelling in Scarborough'.
In 2012, the builders who restored it, Lewitt Construction, were awarded with the BILD Industry's Best Renovations Over $500,000!
So....the reno wasn't cheap.

Here are the pictures from the 2008 Power of Sale listing...
The asking price was $612,000.
The house sits on a 125 x 220 foot lot and the power of sale said the lot could be split.
Though it's nice that the people who bought this house chose not to tear down history, there isn't a lot of history left on the inside.
From what I can see, this house was first listed at least a year ago when it was the Globe and Mail Home of the Week.
It was listed at $1,750,000.
Nice house, but almost $1.8?
It was too high, it never sold and the price was dropped by March to $1,688,0000.
By the end of August, the price was dropped again to $1,588,000.
This is a big house with a recent reno and a large lot. Why wasn't it selling?
Maybe it had something to do with this...

The price has been dropped again.
It is now listed at...
Oh wait.
It's not another drop.
It is still $1,588,000.
Are they sure they didn't mean to say $1,288,000?
UPDATE: As per this listing that was sent in by a reader below (thanks Stuart!), this place HAS had a drop. But not to where it probably should be.
This house is now listed at $1,499,000.
