102 Joicey Boulevard - CRICKET CLUB
When the neighbours heard there was going to be another new build on their street...
I don't think this is what they were envisioning.
The neighbours probably thought it would be a house like the ones down the street with the odd faux stone facade (why do the stone when there is good brick already there?)...
Or maybe something like this new build where they didn't mess up the front with a stone facade...
But instead, it was this massive new build...
That seems to tower over it's neighbours.
And why did this come to mind when I saw it?
This is what the house used to look like...
Now, this is a 9 level, 4+1 bedroom, 8 bathroom house on a 50 x 122 foot lot.
Though there is no stone facade on the outside, they did make sure to do a 2 story stone facade on one of the interior walls!
For a new build, they made some BOLD choices with some of the finishes. I didn't even know that red and black marble existed!
The house itself is an odd layout as everything is basically open. On paper, it's interesting and it is even fun to look at, but in real life, I don't think it would be very fuctional. And what is that waiting room situation for at the front door?
Clearly this place has been listed for a while as it was the Toronto Life House of the Week and blogTO House of the Week in June...
When the asking price was $4,299,000.
As of September, the asking price has been $3,995,000.
And still no sale.
So....another price drop to $3,795,000 in the new year?
But will that be enough? I don't think so.
