832 Bay Street - BAY STREET CORRIDOR
Happy 2014!!!
Hope you are all recovered and ready to talk real estate!
The first post of 2014 is of a loft at Bay and College. The photo above is the render shot of the 'public piazza' of the condo development called the Burano.
The 'piazza' that you see was designed by Janet Rosenberg and Studios. Some of their work includes the garden of this MASSIVE Montreal house...
This Bloor West Garden...
And this Bridle Path Garden...
The building itself was built by Lanterra Developments and designed by architect Peter Clewes.
Clewes has a LOT of projects on his resume, including the Thompson Hotel and Residences...
The Bloor Street Transformation...
And this Beaver Valley residence...
Plus, all the Suites at the Burano were designed by Munge + Leung Design.
They are behind many beautiful interiors including Weslodge on King...
And Gusto 101 on Portland ...
And Trattoria Mercatto on Yonge...
And though not located in Toronto, I had to include this picture from the Rosewood Hotel in Georgia...
There are so many more great projects that it is worth a visit to the Munge + Leung website to see more.
Even if it is just so you can watch this video over and over...
(Maybe not as crazy as the Gansevoort NYC Pool Party, but still worth watching!)
So, with all these undeniably talented architects and designers behind this building, I was kind of shocked to see what you get when it is a LOFT and not a Suite that is for sale.
Clearly, there has been no imprint from Munge and Leung in the lofts.
Sure the windows are amazing, it's bright....
But that kitchen? And the bedroom?
It's fine....just not what I was expecting.
This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 787 square foot loft with monthly fees of $501.91.
At one point, it was listed at $549,000.
The current price is $509,900.
Perhaps it needs to go down a little more. Just because it is in a building with good names behind it doesn't make the unit itself worth the extra money.
But those windows...
