AND IT WENT FOR - 2290 Saxony Court - MISSISSAUGA

I first posted this 7 bedroom, 9 bathroom house on a 42.85 x 179.27 foot lot at 2290 Saxony Court in Mississauga just over a year and a half ago.

It had originally been listed at $11,088,000, but when I posted it in May 2012, the price had dropped to $8,900,000.

The photo was ridiculous with the print reminding me of a Fabio novel...

And the interior photo looked like they had photoshopped in...

But the biggest problem beyond the style of the house was the fact that the 18,000 square foot home was way to big for the lot.

Then in January, after an unsuccessful price drop, this house was all of a sudden listed at $1!

It was up for auction and yesterday it sold...

For $6.2 million!!!!

Apparently for $2,300,000 LESS than it cost to build!

I guess when the majority of the houses in the neighbourhood look like this...

And you build this...

It's like building this...

When instead, what should have been built was this...
