PRICE DROP #3 - 2290 Saxony Court - MISSISSUAGA (UPDATE)
I first posted this 7 bedorom, 9 bathroom house on a 45.85 x 179.27 foot lot at 2290 Saxony Court in Mississauga in May 2012.
Perhaps because I was so taken with the amazing photo above that was published in Good Life Magazine (a publication about fine living in Mississauga) that reminded me so much of Fabio...
And the fact that they photoshopped a person who looked like Angelina Jolie from The Tourist into one of the listing photos...
That I didn't notice that 18,000 square feet of house on that sized lot is KIND of ridiculous!
But that didn't stop this house from being the winner of the 2010 Canadian Home Builders Award and the GTA BILD Association Award.
It did stop this house from selling however.
In May 2012, this house was listed at $8,900,000. It had originally been listed at $11,088,000.
It hasn't sold and has now had a price drop to...$1.
What is with this $1 trend?
And what is with actually photoshopping famous people into listing photos!?!
Next thing you know, we are going to start seeing Ewoks in listing photos!!!
UPDATE: Looks like, in this case, '$1' is code for 'Auction'. On January 26, this house will be put up for sale by public auction by Ritchies Auctioneers. Not sure this place will have the same success as 40 Park Lane Circle!
