AND IT WENT FOR - 271 Windermere Avenue - SWANSEA

I forgot about this sale (and thanks to the reader who reminded me!)!!!

This house is a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom new build on a 21 x 129.5 foot lot at 271 Windermere Avenue in Swansea.

And I really liked it.

Perhaps it is all the black, or the floors, or the wall of glass in the kitchen/dining room/living room....but you can't deny that they did a good job on this house.

Especially since it used to look like this...

It apparently sold for $530,000, was rebuilt, and listed for $1,398,000.

I thought, especially considering the fact that the house around the corner at 71 Morningside Avenue sold for $1,515,000 in March 2012, that this house was a steal.

But it was only 3 bedrooms.

It didn't sell and in January, the price was dropped to $1,348,000.  It sold soon after....

For $1,310,000.
