SOLD - 3 Ross Street - BALDWIN VILLAGE

This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on a 20.17 x 116 foot lot with a 2 car garage at 3 Ross Street in Baldwin Village.

It's a really good looking semi on a nice street in a very central location.

The inside is very underwhelming but it has a lot of potential (for a lot of money)

But what stood out to me the most was this...

Ummm....

What IS that!?!

But that thing isn't the only confusing thing about this listing.

This house was listed last Thursday.  The asking price was $829,000...

Which, when this is the kitchen island....

Kind of makes sense.

As I said, the house is a little underwhelming.

But for the potential, the price was a little low, and it was clear they were looking for a bidding war.

They got one.

There were 27 offers!!!

And according to a new reader who was one of those 27 bidders, here is how it went down...

After a Saturday Feb 22nd and Sunday Feb 23rd Open House, the listing agent moved the offer date from Thursday February 7

to Monday Feb 24th.  This had 27 agents (Yep, the house rec’d 27 offers!  I know because I was one of the 27 who didn’t get it) scrambling to bring their offers in on Monday.

The listing agency would not say how many offers were registered until you registered your own offer so there was no way to know just how many

people had bid on this home and at what price.  Once the offers were sent in, there was no communication from the listing agent until the following day when they announced that the house had sold for $1,308,888.

Ummm...
