AND IT WENT FOR - 121 Marlborough Avenue - SUMMERHILL

At the end of August, a reader sent in the listing for this 3+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom semi on a 17.11 x 120 foot lot at 121 Marlborough Avenue in Summerhill.

From the ouside, I wasn't sure I was going to like it.  But on the inside, it's great.

It is a house that was designed in 2004 by the design firm of Canadian designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelburg, Yabu Pushelburg.*

And 10 years later, it still looks current.  I'm thinking those bathrooms are new though.

Speaking of bathrooms, the master bath is pretty tight.  And that third bedroom is the open 3rd floor loft which works better as an office.

But it is a really good house, in a good neighbourhood with a garage and another parking spot.

The asking price was $1,795,000.  With the parking alone, I was kind of surprised it hadn't sold in the first weekon the market, and for what the house was in the neighbourhood, the asking price wasn't crazy.

Well, after 22 days on the market, it finally sold...

For $1,720,000.

*NOTE:  thanks to the reader below for pointing out that the house was designed by the Yabu Pushelburg design firm, not necessarily the owners themselves.  The post was edited to reflect that.
