498 Markham Street - PALMERSTON
This is a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house (cough, cough) on a 22.5 x 125 foot lot at 498 Markham Street in Palmerston.
And it reminds me a lot of the house in my last post at 310 Glen Road in Rosedale.
Both are slightly dated but move right in. Except this house isn't staged, but it does feel bigger.
I love these old houses with the stairs in the kitchen. But I am not so sure about the upstairs layout.

It is a toilet, sink, and bathtub IN A CLOSET.
Look at this....
The first thing that came to mind when I saw that was....
What IS that?
So....let's pretend there isn't a toilet, sink, and a bathtub in the closet and that room is a family room instead.
The third floor (which they are counting as 2 bedrooms) would be a great master suite with a bed in the big room and a closet beside the bathroom...
Kind of like the house at 21 Biggar Avenue in Regal Heights.
And the second floor could be 3 or 2 bedrooms.
Then this is really a 4 (or 3+1) bedroom, 4 bathroom (that closet bathroom has to go) house with no parking.
It's listed at $1,450,000.
Or $49,000 less than the house at 310 Glen Road. With the changes I suggested, this house is then about the same price.
So, which house are you choosing?
The Rosedale house with parking or the Palmerston house with no parking?
Even though this one has a bathtub in the closet and no parking...
I think this one is selling for more.
