This is a 2 bedroom, 5 bathroom house at 4270 Av. Colonial in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood of Montreal.
And it is amazing.
Something about it reminds me of a cross between the Cabbagetown row house in Toronto at
7 Millington Street...
And a darker version of Julie Charbonneau's downtown Montreal loft at
454 Rue De La Gauchetière...
That was listed at $2,989,000 (did it sell!?!).
According to the
LuxuryEstate.com, this place was listed this past week.
But it isn't the first time it has been on the market. According to this
Vancouver Sun feature, this place was listed in 2013. Here are two of the photos from that article...
So, as you can see from the current photos below...
Most of the furniture is the same, even the bedspread.
So, unless the 2013 owners sold the furnitre and bedspread to the new owners...
My guess is that this place never sold and the furniture was just rearranged with a LOT of new pieces added.
Also, the asking price was $4,900,000.
Okay, this is a VERY unique property with a pool...
A sauna...
A LOT of
Tom Dixon lights...
A huge movie theatre room with a couch that moves with the movie...
And a huge rooftop deck...
With a full outdoor kitchen...
But $4.9 million!?!?!
That's crazy.
Especially when this guys is hiding out around the corner from your front door...

That makes a little more sense.
P.S. This 2013 photo is making me thinking this is owned by a musician or producer...
Perhaps that's why they thought $5 million made sense.
