PRINCE'S FORMER BRIDLE PATH MANSION IS STILL ON THE MARKET
Almost 2 years ago in October 2014, I posted this 3+1 bedroom, 10 bathroom house on a 280.88 x 305.50 foot lot at 61 The Bridle Path in the Bridle Path.
It was a house that a reader sent in saying that I might 'know the former owner'.
And then I saw the listing that said...
Formerly Owned By Acclaimed International Music Celebrity!
It was the house formerly owned by Prince just after he was known as 'The Artist Formerly Known as Prince'...
When he was married to Torontonian, Manuela Testolini (she recently revealed she plans to build a school in honor of Prince).
They were married from 2001to 2006, the same year they sold the house.
At first, it didn't seem like it would be something Prince was into because there was so much white.
But over the weekend since his death, from all the tributes on television, I have come to realize that Prince loved white...
Not just purple (not sure how I didn't notice this before!).
But he did have a purple room in this house (I'm assuming he put it there and the current owners kept it) and it is amazing...
When I heard of his death last week, I thought of this room and wondered if it had been renovated assuming it had sold in 2014.
But as it turns out, this house is still on the market...
With the same price from two years ago...
$12,788,000.
From the looks of the listing photos (click here to see photos of the rest of the house)...
The purple room is still there.
And if you are wondering if there is a basketball net considering Prince played basketball and even challenged Eddie Murphy's brother, Charlie Prince, to a game years ago as reenacted in this Dave Chappelle skit...
Yes, at 1:22 of this video tour of the outside of the house...
There is a net.
