SOLD - 21 Roxborough Street East - ROSEDALE
This is a 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom semi on a 37 x 136 foot lot at 21 Roxborough Street East in Rosedale.
According to the listing, it is 5,000 square feet and with a garage and parking for 5 cars.
The listing also states that this house has had a fabulous contemporary reno. But I am not sure that reno was so recent. The kitchen, the bathroom, and the tile in the laundry room are giving me more of an 80s feels.
And according to the Globe and Mail Home of the Week article about the house, one of the listing agent's family bought the house 18 years ago from philanthropist and and supporter of the arts, Joan Chalmers, who had gutted and reno'd the place.
And as that article mentioned...
According to the writer Betty Ann Jordan, who profiled the arts patron when she was recognized with a Governor General’s Award in visual and media arts, Ms. Chalmers supported artists struggling through the economic downturn of the early 1990s by transforming her home into a showcase for her growing collection of Canadian art.
So, yeah. At least an early 90s reno.
But even though the reno is probably about 25 years old, this house is move right in.
It was listed at $3,350,000.
It sold in 2 days...
For $3,685,000.
Annnnnnnd......it's probably going to get gutted.
