At the beginning of May, I posted

this 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 75 x 213 foot lot at 45 Russell Hill Road in South Hill.

I had posted before in August 2013

.  I thought it was a great house but had a wonky first floor layout from what I could tell.  And overall, the house wasn't super exciting but could be amazing.  

But it did have a pretty awesome kid's room...

The asking price then was $4,788,000.

It didn't sell and the house

was put up for lease for $16,800/month

 with a

price drop 2 weeks later to $4,495,000.

Then, at the beginning of May, a reader sent in an email saying they had seen Dion Phaneuf moving out of the house.

So, this house never sold in 2013 because the kid's room was still the same.

And I guess Dion Phaneuf and his wife Elisha Cuthbert (now Phaneuf) were renting because here is a streetview photo of what looks like her...

The day before it was announced that Phaneuf had been

traded to the Senators.

And the day after they were moving out, this house was listed again at $4,495,000.

By the end of May, the price was down to $3,950,000.

It

sold

2 days ago...

For $3,600,000.

I feel like someone got a deal.
