SOLD - 97B Sherwood Avenue - SHERWOOD PARK
In January 2014, I posted a 5+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on a 44 x 179.41 foot lot at 97 Sherwood Avenue in Sherwood Park...
It looked a lot like a 'Sears Modern Home' from the first half of the century. I thought it might be one of the houses called 'The Vallonia' from the 1927-1932 catalogue...
And the house looked like it hadn't really been touched since then. The kitchen was new-ish, but the house was tired.
It was listed at $1,324,000.
At that price, I didn't think it would be a house that would be renovated. But 2 houses that were 20 feet wide? Definitely.
Then 17 months later, this happened...
It was torn down and replaced with 2 large semis. This semi was listed in mid-May.
It is a 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 21.97 x 179.41 foot lot. And for the most part, they did a really good job.
I don't really get this back light situation...
Or the fact that the toilets look like are these $139 toilets from Home Depot...
Which isn't awesome in a house that was listed at $2,550,000.
I guess other people didn't love the toilets either because this house was on the market for just over 3 weeks.
It sold last Thursday...
For $2,520,000.
