105 Brookdale Avenue - BEDFORD PARK, TORONTO (7 Comments)

This is a 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house on a 25 x 110 foot lot with a 1 car garage and 1 parking spot at 105 Brookdale Avenue in the Bedford Park neighbourhood of Toronto.

It is a new build on a lot with house that used to look like this...

I am not so crazy about the front of the new house AT ALL (is it expensive to remove that stone?).  But inside, it is a really good house that reminds me a little of the house at 405 Brunswick Avenue...

Both are good houses with a living room/dining room and a large kitchen with a big family room at the back.  I prefer this kitchen and family room of this house.  The only thing I would change would be to get rid of that wood counter on the island.

The house is done really well throughout but I am not so crazy about all the turquoise (though I do like the kitchen backsplash), or the green bathroom, or the red and blue and white and green in the basement and would prefer a little more subtle colour scheme. And what is that odd wainscotting?  Is that wallpaper?  Basically, there is a lot going on.

But the paint is a simple fix and with a little toned down colour, this could be a great house.

This house was listed a couple of weeks ago for $2,495,000.  It didn't sell, perhaps because of the paint.

Or maybe it was because of this backyard because it is a good house...

But that's a pretty small backyard for $2.5 million.

The new asking price for this move-in-ready house with a backyard on the slightly smaller side is...

$2,200,000.

I don't think it will sit for long now.
