UPDATE - 508 Delaware Avenue - DUFFERIN-DAVENPORT (14 Comments)
From the amount of emails I have received about this house, either people really love it or a lot of friends are helping out the owners.
But either way, it is a pretty great house. And it isn't the first time I have posted it.
Does this listing photo ring a bell?
It was the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on a 18 x 123 lot with a 3 car garage that ticked a lot of boxes of the then current design trends such as the bike on the wall, the lights, the industrial chairs, the antlers
And I was assuming a guy with a side part and a beard like this lived there...
And from the way the house looks now, it is very possible that guy, or someone who looks like him, still lives here.
They have changed the floors to white oak, the stairs have been opened with a railing that I really like, I assume the bathrooms have been updated with new doors, the basement has been finished, and the kitchen and paint throughout has been lightened up except for the blue living room that I also really like...
It was listed at $749,000 when it was last listed at the end of 2012. It sold for asking.
It is now back on the market with some good updates. The asking price is...
$1,599,000.
At 1,620 square feet, that might be a little high. But with its location right on Geary Street, the street blogTO called 'Toronto's Most Interesting Street' in 2016...
Maybe not (but probably).
UPDATE: Thanks to the reader who commented that this house is owned by Drake General Store co-owner, Carlo Colacci and his wife, Laura.
Here they are talking about the house on the House and Home website...
No beard.
