mishMASH - Spring Island - GEORGIAN BAY (UPDATE)
How long do cottages usually take to sell?
Two years? Three years?
I don't know but I do know that like the cottage in my last post at 31 High Point Road in Muskoka...
This cottage has also been listed for at least 2 years.
In July 2015, it was the Toronto Life Cottage of the Week and it is still on the market with the same furniture...
And the same price.
Unlike the Muskoka cottage, this has not had a price drop. And unlike that cottage, I REALLY like this one.
It is a 2 bedroom main cottage with a 2 bedroom guest cottage, each with a bathroom on its own 8.65 acre off the grid island...
And a shallow area where there are probably a lot of snakes...
Apparently, the island is so flat that it is conducive to jogging. And it is so flat, there is a basketball court...
Basically, it's a pretty great piece of property but the cottage itself isn't very big...which is probably why it has been on the market for 2 years.
The asking price for this cottage is $2,975,000.
Wonder if there will be a drop soon.
UPDATE: This place has sold so we won't be seeing a price drop. Thanks to the reader for pointing this out!
Anyone know what it sold for? And when?
